Effect of the Substitution of Sugarcane for Food Supply Crops in Goiás

This article analyses the effect of replacing food crops with sugarcane in Goiás, according to mesoregions, between 2013 and 2020. The research intends contribute discussion about themes related changes that have occurred areas under plantation, production, value sugarcane, rice, beans, corn, soybeans. database used is taken from IBGE's Municipal Livestock Production Survey. results indicate there was a rapid expansion which followed similar direction as corn soybeans, but beans maintaining very slow production rate. Sugarcane heavily concentrated single mesoregion highlights series alerts regarding spatial heterogeneity this crop's production. work concludes are strong indications substituting rice same has not happened beans.
